Florida State Elks Association Works to Raise Awareness About Autism

During the bimonthly Coffee Conversation Member Mingles, Bill Edwards Foundation of the Arts features one of its valued corporate members spotlighting what their company does for the local community and how our members can join their mission.

The March Coffee Conversation featured the Florida State Elks Association, with Development Director Dan Masi as speaker. Masi spoke about the support Florida Elks Charities Inc. provides for local charitable programs, with a primary recipient being Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services; which provides in-home physical and occupational therapy to Florida children in need, about 60% of these children being within the autism spectrum.

Masi spoke about the Florida State Elks’ 2024 Unmasking Autism Gala; an informative event with guest speakers, dinner, dancing, a silent auction and opportunities to network with other members of the community supporting this cause. The gala will raise funds and awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and show how Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services is successfully treating the symptoms of ASD.

The Unmasking Autism Gala will be taking place on Saturday, April 27^th, 2024 from 6-11pm at Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront 333 1^st St SE St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
